Howdy all

Well, it was great news for the July 11th Melbourne premiere of Kissing Paris at ACMI.
More than 99% capacity, which overwhelmed ACMI who were not expecting this at all. Alot of great feedback and there was a Q&A with Director Anna Kannava afterwards where apparently she read out an entire list of names of people who contributed to the film. I sadly couldn't be there but most of the Melbourne cast and crew were to lend their support. Thanks to all those who did come to see the film. I don't want to name anybody because the list is to vast and numerous and I don't want to forget anybody. I very much appreciated it as did Anna.

Sadly, ever since KP premiered at the Brisbane Fest in 2008 I have not be able to attend any of the public screenings as I live in Paris. So lets cross our fingers that another festival will pick it up, hopefully somewhere in Europe so that I would be able to see KP on the big screen.

So, anyway, peoples, you will find below an article that appeared in the 16th July 2009 edition of The Star Great Dandenong Newspaper. My local "rag", local because I was born and grew up in the impressive Noble Park. I very nice write-up but unfortunately it appeared AFTER the Melbourne screening of Kissing Paris. But choosers can't be beggers.

Feel free to post any comments if you did attend the Melbourne Screening - hopefully constructive feedback as I would love to know what you think of the film. If you do want to see the film screen anywhere else, well, hell demand it!@@

J'espere que il aura un petit projection a Paris bientot. Peut-etre un festival du film quelquepart.

Kissing Paris to screen at ACMI

Kissing Paris, Anna Kannava's second feature film will screen at ACMI cinemas in Melbourne to celebrate France's Bastille Day.

This will be the third screening of the film. The first being The Brisbane International Film Festival and the second, last month at the Queensland State Library.

As I can't be there (in Paris, unfortunately, so I miss the third screening now) I would love to hear what you think of the film! You can leave comments here on the blog or go to the facebook page to leave comments.

The film will screen July 11th at 4pm, followed by a Q&A with the director.
Tickets are $8.

A Greek kisses Paris - Neos Kosmos

Melbourne independent filmmaker Bill Mousoulis interviewed Anna Kannava, director of the feature film "Kissing Paris" for Melbourne Greek newspaper Neo Kosmos.
Click below to read the article, or alternatively, you can go to Neo Kosmos website to read it.

In other news, well, at this point in time there is no other news. We, of course have submitted Kissing Paris to several film festivals so we are awaiting answers.
So will keep you posted on any updates.

Press - Dandenong Leader - Noble Park revisited

This article appeared in the Dandenong Leader in September 2008 (just after the Brisbane International Film Festival premiere unfortunately). Interesting article about Kissing Paris from my angle.

Kissing Paris premieres at Brisbane International Film Festival

We are proud to announce that our feature film "Kissing Paris" has been selected to screen at the Brisbane International Film Festival in July 2008. We hope this is the beginning of more wonderful news to come. There has been a lot of hard work involved in making this 'little' film with virtually no money. I can't wait to hit Oz soon and see it for the first time on the big screen...very exciting indeed!
Kudos!
